Hebei Wenfeng Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was Registered and founded in 2001. Wenfeng Iron and Steel is a                               Sino-foreign joint venture，which integrates iron making, steel-making, steel rolling, sintering , energy and power and so on, with RMB 0.9 million Yuan of registered capital, RMB 8.4 billion Yuan of total assets as well as more than 7000 employees. The main products are: Billets, Hot Rolled Plates, Hot Rolled strips and Light Rails. The capacity of iron is 3.5 million tons per year, steel 3.5 million tons per year as well as rolled steel 3.55 million tons per year.

In 2007, Wenfeng Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd. ranked No. 23 in the “Fobus List of Top Chinese Enterprises in 2007 ”and was elected and ranked 466 among “500 Best Chinese Enterprises” in 2006 and 2007 successively.

In April 2003, Wenfeng iron and steel passed certification of ISO 9001 international quality management system. In 2006, “Wenfeng” series iron and steel products were appraised to be “the Brand with the Most Competitive Brands in China” and one of the “Top Ten Reliable Brands with Reliable Quality of Products and Credit Guarantee in Iron and Steel Metallurgical Industry”. ”Wenfeng” Series products such as hot rolled steel have successively obtained manufacturing license certificate for ship plates, boilers and pressure container manufacturing, and have smoothly passed “CE Certification” by LLOYDS of UK. In addition, such products have been successfully exported to countries and regions as Korea, Germany, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Sandi Arab etc., firstly opened EU market in Wu’an City. “Wenfeng”primoric carbon hot rolled plates won the “Gold Cup Prize” for state high-quality products in 2007.

In 2005, Tanshan Heavy Plate Co., Ltd, the joint venture of Wenfeng iron and steel Co., Ltd and a large-scaled state-owned iron & steel enterprise---Tansha Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. was put into production. The capacity of this project is 5 million tons of high-end hot rolled steel plates per year, which is the biggest manufacturer of Hot Rolled Plates all over the world.

In 2007, the 500-thousand-piece Train Wheel Hubs Project of Tangshan Wenfeng Shanchuan Wheel Hubs Co., Ltd., and 500-thousand–ton Straight Welded Tubes Project of Tangshan Wenfeng Qiyuan Tubing Co., Ltd. invested by Wenfeng Steel with RMB 1.978 billion Yuan and RMB2.06 billion Yuan were respectively laid the foundation. The tow projects are expected to complete and reach the designed capacity in 2 years.
